Habitat:
Marshy, unshaded area at the bottom of small valley, Carex spp., Phalaris arundinacea, Artremisia serrata, Symphyotrichum lanceolatum, S. firmum, Cicuta maculata, Angelica atropurpurea. With Acer negundo and large, old Salix x fragilis along the creek.
Occurrence Remarks:
To 1.7 m. tall, the stem leaves senescent, but green leaves from groud apperently belong to this species.
