Occurrence Remarks: Cultivated in Wallnut Greenhouse. Seeds obtained from USDA-GRIN, accession PI658755.; Stems erect; petioles typically half as long as leaf blade; blade oblong-ovoid to lanceolate, entire margins, although subtle lobe-teeth may be visible on larger leaves, sparsely farinose. Inflorescences glomerules in delicate, potentially drooping spikes; glomerules irregularly globose, 0.5-2 mm diam., bracts absent. Flowers: perianth segments 5, sepal lobes with rounded apex, faintly keeled or nol keeled, scarcely farinose, partly covering fruit at maturity; stamens 5; stigmas 2. Utricles depressed-ovoid; pericarp nonadherent, smooth Seeds 0.9-1.3 mm diam.; seed coat black, smooth.
