Habitat:
Farm fields (soybeans and corn) with associated weeds of low areas such as Capsella bursa-pastoris, Thlaspi arvense, Veronica peregrina, Ranunculus sceleratus, and brushy and wooded edges, with Acer saccharinum, A. negundo, Viburnum lentago and large patches of Salix exigua.
Occurrence Remarks:
Voucher for wood specimens at Kw, Lw, MADw, MEXUw, RSAw.; Shrub 3.5 m. tall, with several stems in tight clump, the wood specimen 3.4 cm in diameter, ca. 12 years old. Flowers with light musty sweet fragrance.
