Occurrence Remarks:
Voucher for wood specimens at Kw, Lw, MADw, MEXUw, PSAw, the wood specimen 3.5 cm. in diameter, 8 years old.; Scattered at edge of woods, evidently an escape. Shrub 4.5 m. tall; erect, sprouts from fallen over stem 15 cm. in diameter and mostly dead; bark gray, smooth, tight, lenticellate. Short side shoots on trunk stiff and persist, almost thorn-like. Petals pink in bud, white when open.
