Habitat:
Marshy area with shrubs and a few trees, Pinus strobus. P. banksiana, Spiraea alba, S. tomentosa, Ilex mucronata, Beula pumila, Chamaedaphne calyculata, Gayussacia baccata, Carex oligosperma, C. aquatilis, C. buxbaumii, Sphagnum.
Occurrence Remarks:
Voucher for wood specimens at Kw, Lw, MADw, MEXUw, RSAw.; Shrubs, a dozen stems in loose clump, 2 m. tall, to 2.2 cm. in diameter, to 8 years old. Youngest portion of twigs glandular and sticking to paper during drying. This clump with abundant immature fruiting; compare with nearly sterile no. 65696.
