Habitat:
Broad ridgetop along one of main roads in Park, former agricultural fields on fertile soil, restored. Abundant shrubs, scattered in prairie.
Occurrence Remarks:
Shrub 2.5 m. tall, multi-stemmed, the stems to 4 cm. in diameter, difficult to control even with periodic prescibed burning; small shrus resprout, while large ones and thickets produce enough shade to restrict growth in uderstory and fire will not spread.
