Habitat: Unshaded flat marshy area at the edge of Wisconsin River and at present only 20 cm. above water level and obviously had been flooded recently.
Associated Species: Polygonum spp., Hibiscus laevis, Sagittaria cuneata, Leersia oryzoides, Amaranthus tuberculatus, Vernonia fasciculata.
Occurrence Remarks: Abundant, with no. 65393 Polygonum hydropiper and similar, but many hunders of plants of each and no intermediates. Leaves with some damage from Japanese Beetles (Popillia Japonica) feeding on this plant. Inflorescences erect; flowers white at all stages.
