Habitat: Sand blows and dunes, stabilized except for mch disturbance by 4-wheel vehicles. Solid stand of Hudsonia tomentosa, with scattered Cyperus schweinitzii where not shaded out by Quercus velutina.
Occurrence Remarks: Voucher for wood specimes at Lw, MADw.; Dense and nearly monospecific population where not heavily shaded by Quercus velutina, with some bare sand between dense patches. Each individual a dense gray-green mass of weak stems, these a maximum of 3 mm in diameter and difficult to tell if they are roots or stems developing branches sometimes rooting and forming new plants. No sign flowers or fruits at this time of year.
