Habitat: Marshy areas, open and springy or lightly shaded by Salix x fragilis, S. nigra, S. amygdaloides, Acer negundo, Juglans nigra, along small creek.
Occurrence Remarks: Only a few plants seen, in small patches, all with rather rank odor when crushed. With scirpus atrovirens, Schoenoplectus tabernaemontana, Typha cf. angustifolia.
