Habitat:
Floodplain of Camp Creek, old pastures, growing up to Salix exigua, Fraxinus pennsylvanica var. subintegerriense.
Associated Species:
Juglans nigra, Laportea canadensis, Ribes missouriense. Viburnum lentago, and with a plantation of Quercus bicolor, Betula nigra, Cornus stolonifera
Occurrence Remarks:
Voucher for wood specimens at Kw, Lw, MADw, MEXUw, RSAw.; Shurb 2.8 m. tall, with many stems in a tight clump, the wood specimen collected from the largest stems, 2.4 cm. in heartwood dark brown, sharply distinct from white sapwood. Corolla white, fading dull light yellow. With Lonicera tatarica, both species occasional here.
