Locality:
United States, Wisconsin, Vernon, 6.2 km (air) NE of Readstown, along floodplain of Elk Creek (and of Kickapoo River), 0.4 km (air) upstream and NE from confluence with Kickapoo River, S of Hwy. U and W of East River Road
Habitat:
Farm fields (soybeans and corn) with associated weeds of low areas such as Capsella bursa-pastoris, Thlaspi arvense, Veronica peregrina, Ramunculus sceleratus, and bushy and wooded edges, with Acer saccharinum, A. negundo, Viburnum lentago and large patches of Salix exigua.
Occurrence Remarks:
Voucher for wood specimens at Kw, Lw, MADw, MEXUw, RSAw.; Shrub 4 m. tall, 3.8 cm. in diameter, 9 year old, with mny stems in a clump, in [artial shade, cut wood with particular aroma but not unpleasant like Viburnum or Valerianaceae. Corolla white, fading dull light yellow.
