Habitat: Only a few clumps seen in black ash seepage swamp that occurs in a ā€œUā€-shaped bend of the Trade River with mesic hardwood forest. Growing on moist, draw-down, mucky channel with slight trickling water. Abundant Carex bromoides and Symplocarpus foetidus in seepage zone. Probably occurs in small numbers downstream in other seepage zones that are visible from trails; seepage zones are generally quite narrow.
