Slow, seepage flow on muck between abundant hummocks of Carex bromoides interspersed with Symplocarpus foetidus. This kind of zone is not widespread along this portion of valley slope and Poa paludigena is found here but not in other, adjacent seepage zones with less Carex bromoides and more Carex lacustris or Laportea canadensis.
