Habitat:
On the edge of a very rich, open forest (an oak opening?) dominated by widely spaced white oak, red oak, sugar maple, and shagbark hickory.
Occurrence Remarks:
Growing with Carex sparganioides, Symphyotrichum shortii, Fragaria virginiana, Helianthus sp., weedy grasses, Desmodium glutinosum, Rubus occidentalis.
