Habitat: Hardwood swamp dominated by green ash with some swamp white oak and black ash.
Occurrence Remarks: This swamp very rich in one area but otherwise becoming overrun with Rhamnus cathartica and Phalaris.; Associates: Viburnum lentago, Zanthoxylum, Glyceria striata, Arisaema triphyllum, Maianthemum stellatum, Viola sp, Ribes americanum, Carex spp, Leersia virginica, Ranunculus recurvatus, Phalaris, Amphicarpaea, Boehmeria, Cicuta maculata, Cystopteris bulbifera, Onoclea, Geum canadense
