Locality:
United States, Wisconsin, Polk, Sterling Sand Barrens State Natural Area. About 8 km west of Wolf Creek. Located on the south side of 250th Ave.
Habitat:
Plants occasional to common in sandy openings near crest of dry prairie dominated by Schizachyrium scoparium, Hesperostipa spartea, Andropogon gerardii. Associates include Crocanthemum canandense, Phemeranthus rugospermus, Selaginella rupestris.
