Locality: United States, Wisconsin, Polk, Sterling Sand Barrens State Natural Area. About 8 km west of Wolf Creek. Located on the south side of 250th Ave.

Habitat: A few plants observed in dry sand prairie dominated by Hesperostipa spartea, Schizachyrium scoparium, Dichanthelium spp., Koeleria macrantha, Agrostis scabra. Associates include Corylus americana, Lithospermum caroliniense, Phlox pilosa, Tradescantia occidentalis, Prunus pumila, Penstemon gracilis.
