Habitat: Plants occasional on north- to northwest-facing sandstone cliff edge above the St. Croix River. Within a mesic hardwood forest dominated by Acer saccharum, Tilia americana, Quercus rubra. Associates include Parietaria pensylvanica, Pellaea glabella.
