Habitat:
Plants occasional along west- to northwest-facing cliff edge in mesic hardwood forest above the St. Croix River. Growing from sandstone ledges. Canopy dominated by Quercus rubra, Tilia americana, Celtis occidentalis, Acer saccharum.
