Habitat:
Flat, unshaded, gravelly and sandy railroad right of way through farm fields. Mostly introduced weedy species, Centuarea stoebe, Bromus tectorum (now dead and dried), Conyza canadensis, Mollugo verticillata, Eragrostis pectinacea, E. minor. Setaria glauca.
Occurrence Remarks:
Inflorescence with rank unpleasant odor of flowering Sporobolus heterolepis. Less common than no. 65208 Eragrostis minor, but easily confused with it.
