Farm fields (soybeans and corn) with associated weeds of low areas such as Capsella bursa-pastoris, Thlaspi arvense, Veronica peregrina, Ranunculus sceleratus, and brushy and wooded edges, with Acer saccharinum, A. negundo, Viburnum lentago and large patches of Salix exigua.
Many stemmed clumps, the branches always held above the ground but at a very low angle; plants more yellow-green than other Poa species in Wisconsin.
