Habitat: Narrow strip of marshy bog bordering small, soft-water, seepage lake, sphagnum groundlayer w/ abundant Chamaedaphne, very common Rhododendron groenlandicum & Juncus effusus, small trees of Acer rubrum, Betula papyrifera, Larix laricina, & Picea mariana. Assoc.: Aronia prunifolia,
Associated Species: Carex gynandra, C. magellanica, C. trisperma, Eriophorum virginicum, Galium tinctorium, Ilex mucronata, Persicaria sagittata, Scutellaria lateriflora, Trientalis borealis, & Vaccinium oxycoccos.
