United States, Wisconsin, Vilas, Western portion of Chewelah Lake system, along short, E-W, unnamed dirt road connecting Wis. Hwy. 47 w/ NW-SE unnamed road occupying former Chicago & Northwestern RR roadbed, 6.5 mi. (airline) SE of Manitowish, 6.6 mi. (airline) NNW of Lac Du Flambeau.
Tall shrub swamp on edge of expansive muskeg, Alnus incana subsp. rugosa-Populus tremuloides co-dominant, on dryish edge w/ Pteridium aquilinum.
