Habitat:
Black Ash Swamp. Dominated by Fraxinus nigra, with a lesser amount of Thuja occidentalis and Betula alleghaniensis. Understory of Abies balsamea and Acer rubrum. Shrubs include Rhamnus alnifolia, Ilex verticillata. Ground cover dominated by Rubus pubescens, Maianthemum canadense, Carex intumescens, Carex trisperma, Carex leptalea, Carex spp.
