Habitat:
Rather rich sugar maple/basswood forest on rolling terrain along the Fox River. Also present: Carya ovata, Fraxinus americana, Quercus alba. This species found on eroded slope along a trail with Verbena urticifolia, Rhamnus cathartica, Alliaria petiolata.
