Habitat: In past-cut mesic forest on high bedrock knob. Thin soil over bedrock with cobbles and boulders. Dominated by 25-30dbh sugar maple w/ Tilia, Quercu rub, Frax amer. Acer repro abund below; sparse herb grnd-layer is <20% cover. With Carex pensyl, Uvularia sess.
Occurrence Remarks: Occasional here; common on rock outcrops. Wisc County Forest Assoc - releves in High Conservation Value Forests
