Habitat:
Growing along roadside opening next to a wooded ravine and beech-maple forest. Growing in association with Acer saccharum, Fagus grandifolia, Tilia americana, Cornus alternifolia, Betula papyrifera, and Aster drummondii.
Occurrence Remarks:
Erect perennial. Ray flowers white and disk flowers white to purple. Phyllaries with purple tips. Lines of hairs on upper stems. Lower leaves with heart-shaped bases and long, winged stalks. Sheet 2 of 2
