Habitat: Growing along moist roadsides and woodland edge. Growing in association with Thuja occidentalis, Betula, paperifera, and Cornus alternifolia.
Occurrence Remarks: Common shrub. Flat-topped inflorescence with showy marginal flowers having large white corollas and no stamens. The inner flowers fertile with small corollas. Leaves 3-lobed.
