Habitat:
Narrow valley with rocky dry run in bottom, with small sandstone cliffs but with dolomite gravel and rocks brought in along road. Woods of Acer saccharum, Tilia americana, Ulmus rubra, Ostrya virginiana, Carpinus virginiana, and a few large Populus deltoides along road, but these undoubtedly established during road construction decades earlier.
Occurrence Remarks:
Young tree; this year's twigs glaucous, those of last year yellow-green. Fruit yellow-green.
