Gentle slope with Pinus strobus, Acer rubrum, Betula papyrifera, Abies balsamea, above small bog with Larix laricina, Picea mariana, Alnus incana ssp. Rugosa, Picea mariana, Chamaedaphne calyculata, Sphagnum.
Occurrence Remarks:
Small shrubs. Stems 2 cm. in diameter, difficult to count the growth rings with a hand lens and perhaps suprisingly slow-growing. Voucher for wood specimens at Lw, MADw. Flowers pale yellow, hanging.
