Habitat:
DNR land on slope, old field or pasture, now grassy and becoming overgrown with small trees and shrubs. Lotus corniculatus, Dactylis glomerata, Bromus inermis, Rosa multiflora, Populus deltoides, Rhus glabra, R. typhina.
Occurrence Remarks:
Common. Shrub with several arching stems to 1.8 m. tall, to 2 cm. in diameter, 6 years old. Voucher for wood specimens at Kw, Lw, MADw, RSAw.
