Habitat:
Very brushy and overgrown slope of old pasture, well above the floodplain. With young Juglans nigra, Rosa multiflora, Gleditsia triacanthos.
Occurrence Remarks:
Colony of slender stems, to 4 m. tall, to 3 cm. in diameter, the one collected for wood specimen 2.5 cm. in diameter, ca. 10 years old. Voucher for wood specimens at Kw, Lw, MADw, RSAw. Inflorescence erect, white in aspect, most with flowers not yet in anthesis. Petals white.
