Habitat:
On steep, cindery roadedge. In shade of Juglans nigra and Ulmus rubra (?) with Parthenocissus vitacea, Eupatorium rugosum, Poa pratensis, Taraxicum [sic] officinale, Ambrosia artemisiifolia, and Cerastium vulgatum.

Occurrence Remarks:
One large clone, covering ca. 1 sq.m. Chunky plant, somewhat condensed inflorescence. Adventitious shoots on roots present, but only a few.
