Habitat: lake shore in areas that were recently underwater; sugar sand
Associated Species: Juncus canadensis (Canada rush), Juncus pelocarpus (brown-fruited rush), Drosera rotundifolia (round-leaved sundew)
Occurrence Remarks: capsule longer than tepals/petals; tailed seeds ~ 0.9-1 mm long; only plants found had galls; analysis of tailed seeds used to confirm identification on the few flowers that reached maturity; narrow-panicle rush; few individuals found scattered among other emergents on the E and S side of S basin; all had galls; seed capsules noticeably longer than the tepals/petals
