Habitat: small drumlins in area; Northern mesic forest; sugar maple (Acer saccharum) dominated woods with basswood (Tilia americana) and ash (Fraxinus) species common through out stand; thick leaf layer in many spots and mostly closed canopy; well-drained and moist soils
