Habitat: Dry to dry-mesic prairie on W-facing slope. Assoc.: Carex meadii, Comandra umbellata, Dodecatheon meadia (abundant), Erigeron pulchellus, Geum triflorum, Liatris aspera, Lithospermum canescens, Ranunculus rhomboideus (very rare), Ratibida pinnata, Symphyotrichum laeve, S. oolentangiense, & Zanthoxylum americanum (very abundant).
Occurrence Remarks: Flrs. turning themselves practically inside out now that the sun is out. Abundant.
