Southern hardwood forest (Acer saccharum dominant, Fagus grandifolia & Tilia americana subdominant, Celtis occidentalis, Fraxinus americana, & other tree spp. of minor importance) on island of glacial till in heart of “bog.” Assoc.: Carex pensylvanica, C. radiata, Eurybia macrophylla (very abundant), & Festuca subverticillata.
