Habitat:
In mesic hardwood forest of Acer saccharum, Quercus rubra, Tilia americana and Fraxinus americana. Understory with Acers saccharum and Ostrya virginiana common. Ground layer with Carex deweyana, Monotropa uniflora, Carex arctata.
