Abstract:
This is a list of typical vascular plant species that occur in an open bog in Wisconsin. These occur over a nearly continuous carpet of Sphagnum mosses that form a hummuck-hollow microtopography over the bog.
Several tree species such as Acer rubrum, Betula papyrifera, Pinus strobus, and Thuja occidentalis may be present as seedlings or small shrubs, but seldom persisist.
