- leaves finely and sharply serrulate with a prolonged acuminate tip, not lobed

- petioles with a green revolute margin, which may appear undulate or toothed

- lateral leaf veins branching before reachig the tips of the teeth (anastomosing)

- cyme sessile or nearly so

- fruit blue-black
