Etymology: Myosotis: from mys for "mouse" and ous for "ear," referring to short, soft leaves of some species
Plants: erect, perennial, 10" tall forb, fuzzy
Flowers: blue to white with a yellow center, 5-parted, 1/4"-1/3" wide, calyx with hooked hairs, its lobes much longer than the tube; inflorescence a terminal, leafless, curving, branched cluster (cyme); blooms April-Sept.
Fruits: smooth, shiny nutlet on spreading stalks
Habitat: sun, shade; moist; garden escape
