Etymology: Lonicera: named for Adam Lonitzer (1528-1586), a German herbalist, physician and botanist who wrote a standard herbal text that was reprinted many times between 1557 and 1783

Leaves: uppermost leaf rounded at the tip
Flowers: pale yellow, 5-parted, 3/4"-1 1/4" long, tubular; inflorescence a cluster in the leaf "pocket" at the ends of the branches; blooms May-June
Habitat: moist; woods, thickets
