Plants: perennial, submersed aquatic
Leaves: basal rosette, dark green, tapering, stiff
Flowers: 4-parted, only in emergent plant, female at the base and male on the stalk
Habitat: wet; shores, shallows, soft water; in sandy soil
Conservation Status: Special Concern
