Etymology: Corydalis: Greek for "crested lark"
Plants: erect, annual, 4"-12" tall forb, smooth
Leaves: several times pinnately-divided
Flowers: pale yellow, 4-parted, 1/2" long, only one petal spurred; inflorescence a dense cluster (raceme) of stalked flowers, main flower cluster usually taller than the upper leaves
Fruits: long, smooth, drooping capsule; seeds without round margin fruit drawing
Habitat: moist; in sandy soil
Conservation Status: Native
