Plants: twining, perennial, up to 7' long forb; stems nodes with fine, downward-pointing bristles Leaves: alternate; large oval to triangular with a deep heart-shaped base Flowers: white, 5-parted; petals and petal-like sepals; inflorescence 1 1/2"- 3" loose, mostly branched, small, cylindrical clusters of stalked flowers Fruits: black, very shiny, dry seed Habitat: dry; woods, thickets
