Etymology: Rubus: Latin name for "bramble" or "blackberry"
Plants: perennial, 2"-10" tall forb
Leaves: 2-3, 3-parted with the end leaflet short stalked, broadly obovate, deeply toothed; side leaflets similar but asymmetrical
Flowers: pink, 3/4"-1 1/4" wide, sepals triangular; solitary, stalked
Fruits: roundish, 1/3" thick berry
Habitat: cold bogs and wet meadows
Conservation Status: Native
