Habitat: unused wire corncrib around farm buildings, unshaded.
Notes: This plant(s) has been here for over a decade. Voucher for wood specimen, MADw; Perennial vine climbing to 3 m. Stems supple, to 1.1 cm in diameter, this the maximum they attain here. Few flowers this late in the season; corolla purplish, with two shiny yellow-green spots at the base of each of the five lobes; anthers yellow. Fruit from green through yellow and orange to bright red when mature. Juicy and soft when ripe, momentarily sweetish, then disagreeably bitter.
