Habitat:
More densely wooded part of the alder-ash swamp. High percentage of Thuja occidentalis and Betula papyrifera in canopy, with less shrub layer. Dominant plants are Caltha palustris, Carex sp., Mitella diphylla, and Gallium sp.
Notes:
Sparse plant on hummocks and at tree bases. Cespitose.
