Habitat: Dominating the shallow water ca. 1 m. deep, over muck on W end of slough, with Nymphaea but forming monospecific stand in much of area.
Notes: [Sheet 1 of 3] All leaves floating. Flowers, flower buds and immature fruit on emergent erect stems, the flowers held 20-30 cm. above the water level. Flowers light yellow, with slight pleasant sweet odor (mid-afternoon, sunny). Surrounded by Typha latifolia marsh.
