Habitat: Old Growth Pine Forest. Growing along dirt access road in valley, through pine dominated woods. Growing with Acer rubrum, Betula lutea, Pinus strobus, Alnus, Prunus virginiana, Corylus americana, Dryopteris intermedia, etc.
